Diversity will perform at the Safety 2010 Opening Session.Diversity have overcome differences of race, ability, age and social background to become, in their own words, “one big happy family”. They are the young street dance troupe that won Britain's Got Talent; a major television show case for the best in British entertainment. Diversity are an incredibly talented group of young men aged 13 -25 years old. As well as performing at the World Safety 2010 Conference, Jordan Banjo - one of Diversity’s leaders – will also speak from a unique perspective about the conference’s main themes of safe and equitable communities.
The name Diversity was chosen to describe not only group but what their performances stand for. They embrace three major values, ‘dream, believe and achieve’ - values they aim to put across to their audiences and fellow performers. They are driven by the belief that their differences make them stronger. Diversity are proof that people can really grow and live in harmony if they have something in common. They are an inspiration to all young people.
Diversity has won the Families United Positive Role Models award at the Spirit of London Awards. They have also promoted street dancing with Change4Life - a public health programme in the UK - as a means of getting kids and families more active.
