Violence is a major public health problem in Colombia, but it is noteworthy that the violence in this country is more interpersonal than collectively. The aim of this study was to measure the effect of a communication pedagogic intervention oriented towards changing attitudes and behaviors of individuals as well as the promotion and development of skills for resolving interpersonal conflicts peacefully. For this study was used the ACTIVA survey model, in order to explore the beliefs, attitudes and practices of people in relation to interpersonal violence. From the survey were constructed scales of severity of the conduct and statistical methods were used as are the tests of independence, difference in difference methods and logistic regression models. As results obtained reductions such as 36% in caregivers who had to spank them children in charge to correct them. There were positive changes in populations of skills and behavior intervention in these results suggest that these populations presented significant decreases in inappropriate behavior patterns of parenting.
