According to IPCC(Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), the earth temperature is expected to increase 6.4℃ from global warming in the 21st.
Also we are expecting to increase average summer temperatures and the frequency and intensity of heat wave. Needs for national countermeasures in Korea are required because of increasing potential from heat wave related climate changes.
All country of the world are recognizing the importance to response heat wave from 2003 event of europe. Every country is developing warning system for heat wave response, establishing activities to heat wave plan.
In this study, we suggest methods for role of NEMA(National Emergency Management Agency) through investigating heat wave effects and countermeasures in abroad. Heat wave effects have researched into the U.S, the France, the England, the Japan.
In the part of heat wave preparedness and response countermeasure divided into establishing national heat wave plan, fundamental direct for establishing and supporting risk group, explanation and education for knowledges for prepare heat wave. In the part of heat wave recovery, suggests the countermeasures divided into information transfer from heat wave, check list for a person in charge of heat wave response, information transfer for outdoor workers.
