Introduction: To develop the job  with safe behavior is the best way for prevent the injuries at the work environment . An educative trainning programme in a Harbour enterprise was carried aout , were the safety observation represented an important element for risk identification and evaluation of the improvement of the safety clime among the stevedores through the . Objectives: 1) Identification of safe and unsafe behaviors in the Haiphong enterprise, and 2) evaluation of the impact of the educative programme.  Method: The safety behaviors were carried out during the intervention study in Havana harbor from 2002-2005; this observation were developed in three stages: before, during and after the intervention. We observed 12 brigades of stevedores from enterprise; the total of workers was 122, were observed 18 behaviors in their daily activities. For each moment were observed two brigades with mean of 20 stevedores for observation. The observation was evaluated in quanti-cualitative way; in each brigade were observed 6 behaviors (the same in each observation stage); in total we observed 714 behaviors/workers. Results: The safety behaviors were increasing in the main  activities. This improvement was higher in the second observation (in the middle of the programme). This observation at the end of the intervention were evaluated as good because the major part of behaviors had better evaluation according the first observation; there were activities that were evaluated  of bad, mainly where the worker behavior were not significant.
