Child And Elder Abuse-Nigeria Expirience
  Every year tens of thousands of children and elderly
around the world are abused either in their homes by f
amily members or in facilities responsible for their c
are;We see everyday how children and elderly people are being harmed physically and emotionally.
  In Africa and Nigeria which is one of the developing
countries this issue happen on daily basis,i work as a
principal nursing officer in a teaching hospital and i
have seen series of cases of child molestation and abu
se either sexually or otherwise,there has been cases i
n which houseboys will abuse the daughters of their ma
sters sexually,child labour is also very common as in
cases of street child hawking of materials,or when yo
ung children are prevented from having formal educatio
n but to work as factory laborers with little stipend
for them also children are transported to foreign coun
tries against their will for all such of odd jobs.
  In cases of the elderly most of them are neglected
by family members to care givers who in turn give litt
le or no care to this elderly people;They preyed their
upon their finances,abuse them sexually and physically
these elders become physically frail and are less able
to stand up to bullying or fight back if attacked.
   With conferences like this a common goal should be 
achieved with formulation on penalities for offenders
especially in developing world.
