Personal submission e.g. How would attendance at the safety 2010 conference help you to improve the prevention of injury and the promotion of safety in your locality?	I am a researcher at the Latin American Center of Violence and Health Studies of the National School of Public Health, since 1994. This center is part of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation of Brazil Health Ministry. During this period I had intense activity in the area of education and research on violence and its impact on health, particularly in the youth violence area. Also Ive been focus at the theme of quality of information on violence, violence against the elderly, traffic violence, media and violence and evaluation of programs and services. Currently also coordinate a distance learning course about the Impact of Violence on the Health that enables 500 professionals of public health in Brazil, with support from the brazilian Ministry of Health. I participate of the National Observatory for the elderly, with the support of the National Secretariat of Human Rights. These experiences are reflected in my scientific set in articles, books and instructional materials targeted at health professionals, education and specific groups. I think its important for me to attend the event for the opportunity to exchange information and possible collaborations that might arise from the approach of knowledge of the field of public health in Brazil with researchers from other countries. Call through this, support for my participation in this scientific event highlighted, considering the importance of it to my professional activities.
