I work at the Institute of Public Health, Albania, Department of Health Promotion and Education. My background is in psychology. The focus of my work are issues of mental health and violence prevention. Our Institute of Public Health, 18 years ago was the National Institute of Hygiene. As you can see, for issues like mental health and violence prevention and health promotion in general, we have here little work experience, models and patterns to follow and very little trainings. This is why, I consider this conference as very important for me and my department in taking sucessful models of working on violence prevention, getting new information, making contacts, etc. I think that the attendence on this conference can help me doing better my work, have more tools to use and to be more self-confident in advocating for violence prevention.
