Personal submission e.g. How would attendance at the safety 2010 conference help you to improve the prevention of injury and the promotion of safety in your locality?	I work as a researcher in the Latin-American Research Center of Studies of Violence and Health, that belongs to the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, an institution part of the Brazilian Health Ministry. In this research center we conduct studies concerning violence, heath and its relations with the media, childhood and adolescence, old age people, public policies, prevention and health promotion programs. In this matter, I strongly believe that my participation at the conference will allow the exchange of information and data with other researches from al over the word, with the both possibility of learning about new works and experiences and publicize the work weve been conducting. In example, we are at the moment researching, with the support of the Ford Foundation, about dating violence in ten brazilian capitals, a theme that is yet under studied in Brazil, but has a lot of experienced researches all over the world. With this new knowledge, and throw the debate of the working Im going to present, I will be able to improve the researches my group is conducting in Brazil. The center that I work in already conducts works with the center preoccupation of improving the promotion of health of the population and the prevention of injuries, nationally and in the Latin America. We always intend to improve the quality and extension of the researches, aiming to have, in fact, a real impact on the health understood as broad concept, that provides both physical and mental wellbeing - of the population.
